This is a Egyptian god and later a Nordic god and now known throughout world history as clowns of many names Ronald McDonald, Bozo, etc. It’s a demon used to lure and entice children. The Nordic legend about the origin of the evil clown that states that an ancient demon lived in mountain caves in Scandinavia. Due to the extreme cold, its nose blistered and turned red. Lack of sunlight gave it a pasty white complexion.
The horn on top of its head looked like a cone-shaped hat. It spent its time luring kids into its cave with tricks, jokes, laughter and sweets, then devoured them once inside.
Bes (Bisu, Aha) was an ancient Egyptian dwarf god. He was a complex being who was both a deity and a demonic fighter. He was a god of war, yet he was also a patron of childbirth and the home, and was associated with sexuality, humour, music and dancing.
Bes (Bis, Aha) is also known today by most as Pennywise, the character that makes you laugh and smile, while knowing it is Death. Oh Yeah, all role playing entertainment. 
Originally known as “Aha” (“fighter”) because he could strangle bears, lions and snakes with his bare hands. He is described as a demon, but to the Egyptians he was not considered to be evil.
On the contrary, he was a supporter of Ra who protected him from his enemies. As a result, he was a god of war who protected the pharaoh and the people of Egypt from evil forces. So the popular entertainment character that brings smiles to so many is really a pagan god meant to make you laugh.
Demon Bes is also known by many other names as he went from culture to culture and throughout history; Aha, Amam, Hayet, Ihty, Mafdjet, Menew, Segeb, Sopdu and Tetenu, Bes or Hathor also known as mother of Horus.
Now about Pennywise from the authors point of view. And while IT prefers to mostly don the form of Pennywise, he is actually an entity of undetermined age and gender. IT originally existed in what Stephen King dubbed the Macroverse, a dimension outside of our own.
When the shapeshifter clown “IT” came crashing down to earth, in a great ominous ball of fire, who landed on earth. Humm coming down from the heavens in a fire ball from another dimension, tricking people, reads a lot like Revelation to me. The only thing I see thats missing from this Adversary is the Promise of a Rapture.
