The first time we see the word moon in the Torah, it is the word “yareach”. This is the word that we see when the word moon is used in an astrological sense. The word for month is “chodesh”. It is NEVER used in an astrological sense. There is NO etymological path for “yareach” to become “chodesh”
Even when we go to the Greek we see a difference of the word “moon” with one being the 30 day count (cycle of the moon):
3561 νουμηνία noumenia {noo-may-nee’-ah} or νεομηνία neomenia {ne-o-may-nee’-a}
Meaning: 1) new moon 1a) of the Jewish festival of the new moon
And the other being the actual physical “moon”:
4582 σελήνη selene {sel-ay’-nay}
Meaning: 1) the moon

The story of Genesis tells us these are the representation of the Good Son and the Bad Son. Thats why those who practice demonic worship always do it with the cycle of the Moon. Thats where the word Lunatic comes from Lunar aka Moon.
Witchcraft calls on Moon magic or the Darkness cycle of the Moon.
