I never ever said one must pursue Torah to be saved. No one did. If someone tells you I believe this, they’re lying or misinformed.
The other Abrahamic religions that do not know the Messiah believe in works-based salvation, because that is what is available to them. Those who follow Messiah don’t believe this, or his death would have been in vain.
I am also not pursuing Torah as a means to earn the love of the Father. I don’t know anyone who is, because that’s the same spirit as what I mentioned above and it doesn’t make any sense. I am doing my best to do the things He asked us to do because I love Him and have a healthy fear of Him. As we should.
Here are other things that I do think:
-The first 2/3 of the Bible is not “just for the Jews.”
-The Christian Church did not replace Israel.
-The Torah is not nailed to the cross— it is applicable to all who follow Messiah. There is one law no matter who you are or where you come from.
You will not and cannot pursue Torah until you realize these things. You shouldn’t even try. You’ll feel like an imposter.
But you can’t realize any of this without humility and a soft heart and a burning desire for the Truth.
Once you unlock that door, the Holy Spirit will guide you every step of the way and you’ll see the word “Law” has caused problems. Because as David says all over Psalms, it’s an absolute joy and delight to walk on this path. It’s not a burden.
I won’t convince you. Just like I could never have convinced anyone to leave new age and open up the Bible. I will plant seeds, you’ll hear me growling and if it’s our Father’s will you’ll eventually let the entirety of the gospel into your heart.
I keep getting messages that what I’m saying is harsh. I maintain that it’s the message itself, not the messenger or her tone.
I don’t think I’m better than anyone and sometimes I wish I could have stayed eyes wide shut.
